The Glow Bowl

We've hit that time of year when the nights are drawing in and we find ourselves reaching for the candles.  I'm busy making candle holders and my current favourite is for the t-light/votive.

Each bowl is hand-moulded in chunky black clay which has been hand stretched for a cracked, distressed and textured finish on the outside.  This rock-like exterior surface has been left raw and unglazed so as to be in complete contrast to the shiny glaze within.  When lit the light flickers through the holes and bounces off the shiny interior, offering a warm glow.
